Our web site is used to maximise interactive opportunities, engage users in activities and build audience relationships. You will use your three years’ plus online content/editorial experience to manage content across GPAP’s online presence, ensuring relevant and current information. Using your writing and sub-editing skills, and strong understanding of writing for web you will create new and edit existing content, ensuring consistency with the views and tone of the organisation, and communicating with GPAP’s target audiences.

You will also be responsible for managing the content publishing schedule, coordinating publishing priorities in consultation with other Departments.

This is an opportunity to use your proven experience using social media within a professional context, including developing strategies, implementation and management to manage Greenpeace’s online communities, particularly on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. This includes moderation, encouraging conversation and growing these communities as well as researching, developing and managing the use of social media to promote our objectives. You’ll keep abreast of new developments and trends, and report back to the team.

Are you passionate about politics and have a knack for incisive journalism?

Here’s a great opportunity to reach a national audience while gaining practical experience.

The ElectionWIRE campaign will require reporters to work in teams of two or three, (ideally complimenting each other in the following areas: reporter/journalist/ writer, videographer/editor/multimedia producer. Applicants are encouraged to apply in teams, but can also be paired up with others for the project.

What we will need from you
A cover letter detailing:
• Relevant training and experience in the fields of communication, media and/or journalism.
• Your passions and political interests, along with your biggest most concerned about with the upcoming election? (250 words)
• An outline of your availability, you will be required to submit up to 4 video pieces a week for the 6 weeks leading up to the election.
• A description of why you think this is the job for you, and why you believe you are the right person to
represent the views of young people from your state/territory.
• Your age (we need a good representation of under 25’s but will consider you up to 31)
• A sample of your work:
• Relevant articles or video packages
• Your resume with photo attached

What we will provide you:
• A week of intensive media training provided by representatives from respected media leaders such as ABC, SBS, channel 10, 2SER, etc.
